Description : Luisa Baranda, a tutor at DANIDA, a Resource Centre for Teacher Training through Distance Education. All the teachers trained here are qualified, of which 30% are female. Training conditions in the entire primary teacher training centres in Zambezia Province are extremely poor. The training is not in touch with the real problems of education and pupils' needs, but rather on out-of-date educational theories badly adapted to the actual demands on teachers and learners.
