A globally reputed photographer, writer, curator and activist. A former president of the Bangladesh Photographic Society, Alam set up the award winning Drik agency, Pathshala, (the South Asian Institute of Photography) and co-founded Majority World. Alam has been shown in MOMA, NY, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, given the Shilpakala Award in 2015 and the Ekushey Award 2024 for his contribution to the arts in Bangladesh. In 2018 Alam was selected by Time Magazine as one of the 'persons of the year' and in 2021 awarded the International Press Freedom Award by CPJ.

An innovative, results-oriented senior manager from Bangladesh, based in London, with more than 33 years of experience working for large multi-national companies. He has managed cross-cultural teams in South Asia, Africa, and the UK both in Operations and as Managing Director. While being CEO of Drik Bangladesh and Drik-Bengal Muslin, he has researched and published a book on Bangladesh’s legendary fabric, muslin, and led the team, which produced a ground-breaking exhibition and documentary on it. He took over as MD, Majority World, in 2013.

Kantha has a background as a Web Administrator for the travel trade for the last 15 years. He also has a good knowledge of Software and Graphic Designing. He has completed a photography course to improve his knowledge on Photography. Kantha will be overlooking the image processing side, and the person to make contact with for Photographer needs. Kantha joined Majority World as Operation Manager in 2019 and oversees all photographer liaison, image upload and design.

Ricky has over 20 years of experience in Marketing, Media & Communications working in the publishing and advertising industry. He is actively involved in cricket activities in Sri Lanka, and is a commentator for all media networks. He is a past Leo Multiple District President, the youth arm of Lions International. Ricky has a masters in mass communication, in addition to diplomas in journalism and business administration. He joined Majority World in 2013 and currently oversees the Business Development and Communications function.

Rebecca joined Majority World in 2024 having more than 12 years of accounting experience. Rebecca is the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to Majority World bookkeeping and accounts.

It specialises in cloud accounting and bookkeeping, personal and business tax, as well as business advice and consultancy services. Bean Counters Accountants works with small to medium-sized companies and partnerships (including LLPs), sole traders, and individual clients – helping them focus on their priorities by easing their accounting burden. It was established by Lars Swann in 2011.
