Description : A stairway through the garden of the Sigiriya palace complex, in Matale district of Sri Lanka. This fortified palace complex is built on a 370 meter high lava mound of an ancient volcano, duilt during the reign of King Kasyapa, 477 ? 495 AD. After his death, the place was turned into a Buddhist monetary. It is one of the seven World Heritage sites in Sri Lanka and is also a popular tourist destination.
