Description : Air pollution over the Quli Hashmat Khan Lake, located at the south of the capital city Kabul. It was the royal hunting site of Muhammad Zahir Shah, the former Afghan King for 40 years, but after years of war and drought, people have built illegal houses and made the site almost a residential area. In the past, there were populations of flamingos, geese, cranes and other sea birds at the lake which was full with water during winter and spring. It is considered a green zone in the capital which has been damaged by illegal house construction. Kabul, Afghanistan.
